About

Julian has over 45 years’ experience in property law, commercial law and litigation. His broad experience in property law brings a wealth of knowledge to the property team at Uther Webster & Evans.

Julian is a trusted advisor in small corporations, individuals, property developers, shopping centre owners, landlords and tenants and has represented those clients in all aspects of retail and commercial leasing, land subdivisions, sales and purchasers of commercial offices, buildings, shopping centres and retirement villages.

Julian’s experience and expertise extends to advising, drafting and completing documentation for the sale and purchase of residential and commercial properties, negotiating drafting and advising on all aspects of commercial, retail and industrial leases for both landlords and tenants, assignments and surrenders and enforcement of those documents, and drafting negotiating and completing lending and mortgage documentation for lenders and borrowers.

Julian’s constructive understanding of the commercial realities of dealing in property allow him to assist with issues involving Capital Gains Tax and GST and build better results for his clients. He takes a measured and determined approach to all his work and his keen grasp of the legal issues facing his clients. Julian previously appeared regularly in the media, providing expert commentary on property development and related issues.
